Book Conservation:
- page mending & reattachment
- hinge repair or tightening
- cleaning and mold removal
- partial or full resewing
- rebacking (new spine) in cloth, Japanese paper, or leather
- corners repaired or in-filled where missing
- rebinding into the original cloth cover
- rebinding into a new cloth cover
- leather treatment and consolidation
- reattachment of leather cover boards with dyed Japanese paper at joints
Bookbinding:
- binding in quarter or half leather, with cloth or marbled paper on boards
- full leather binding
Paper Conservation:
- relaxing/flattening
- surface cleaning and mold removal
- mending tears; in-filling missing areas
- washing to remove soluble acids and other degradation products
- reduction of stains and discoloration
- deacidification (alkalization)
- removal of linings and mountings
- cleaning, relaxing, and flattening of parchment documents
